Job Description


Business development
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Champions the use of Data Analytics
  • Writes new business proposals and contributes to other Data Analytics business development activities
  • Participates in the planning processes of the Data Analytics business
  • Contributes to thought leadership on the use and advancement of Data Analytics
Engagement delivery
  • Leads and manages Data Analytics engagements including planning, execution and reporting
  • Manages the engagement economics on Data Analytics projects
  • Manages engagement level issues and risks on own projects
  • Unpacks business problems and frames analytics driven solutions
  • Maps analytics solutions to data requirements and facilitates the data acquisition process
  • Ensures data quality and manages the data reconciliation process
  • Directs junior staff on analytics execution
  • Generates impactful insights from analysis
  • Writes and presents reports
Practice management
  • Contributes to the implementation of the Data Analytics strategy
  • Ensures adherence to firm’s quality and risk management processes
  • Keeps abreast of developments and innovation in the Data Analytics space
  • Upskills junior Data Analytics staff
  • Participates in junior staff mentoring and performance management process


  • Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor`s Degree) with a major in Accounting, Auditing, Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5 years Accounting or Auditing or Business Consulting experience
  • Minimum of 3 years Data Analytics experience
  • Experience in using data visualisation tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau or Qlik is essential
  • Experience in scripting using analytics tools such as SQL or ACL or IDEA is essential. Certification advantageous
  • Project management experience advantageous
  • Staff management experience advantageous
